When life knocks us down it can be hard to remember all the amazing things we have to live for. Fight the darkness.
Life is hard. We all get knocked down from time to time. We all have moments when we begin to wonder if life is worth living. We want to help give kids and young adults the tools to remember why their life matters. Teen suicide rates have skyrocketed over the last several years; now more than ever young people are making a snap decision to end their life. So we asked the question.... "What if you could remember what is GOOD in your life? What if, in that moment of pain, you could be reminded of how incredibly loved you are? What if, instead of spending 20 minutes figuring out how to end your life, you spent that same time remembering to live it?"
Or at GiveMe20 - we call it a LIFEBOX. It's a box filled with YOUR STORY; memories of great moments in your life, dreams for the future, and reminders of why your life matters... because no matter how dark life seems at this moment, the sun will rise tomorrow and you should be here to see it happen.
A big part of the #GiveMe20 experience is decorating the box. The kids love spending time selecting craft supplies and personalizing their boxes. As #GiveMe20 grows, so does our need for craft supplies! Check out our Wish List on Amazon. For as little as $8 you can send us items we use in every workshop.
Whether you simply want to donate $5 or you are looking to sponsor an organization - we can use your help! From printed materials to workshop supplies, there are a lot of expenses that come with a program like #GiveMe20. Keeping our costs low provides the opportunity for kids everywhere to benefit from this incredible program.
